(Day 21 - EA) Flowers for a Red Bird (Open)

One may wonder how courtiers are ever able to find the perfect flower to ensemble their poems or gift one to their secret paramour when they are very much out of season. By the power of the kami, Tamori Mei has solved this problem at the florist shop where blooms of every seed can be found year-round.

Karasu nods in understanding.

"Hai, arigato, what can I do for you? In exchange for your assistance?"

Arami would never forgive me if I just took advantage of her skills.

The Tamori handed Karasu the potted cactus she kept in the corner. "Find a proper place to set this... and see that's it relatively public."

"Alright."

Karasu looks at it from all sides. He had never seen a plant like this.

"I've never seen a plant like this. What is it?"

"It's a cactus. Its flowers have some rather... auspicious meanings in ikebana. Do take care of it."

I wish she would tell me that auspicious meaning they have but she has been so helpful that I don't want to bother her to much. I'll ask Arami later

"I promise I will. Oh, do I need a card for these flowers? Is that normally done?"

"My apologies. But thank you for all your help. You have been most kind."

Karasu bows to her. He takes his flowers and departs.

I'll add a note later. What an odd plant. Maybe Arami will like it.
